The Stewards fined the following trainers in respect of their non-runners:-

The Stewards authorised the following substitutions of riders at this meeting:

D.W. O'Connor, rider of Belle Island (GB), trained by Robson De Aguiar, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was slowly away.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at the two furlong pole involving Lars Soldier, ridden by W. Joyce, and Shesthedevil, ridden by C.D. Hayes where it appeared they made contact. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W. Joyce stated that he felt slight pressure from his left at the two furlong pole. C.D Hayes stated that his mount became unbalanced in the dip and shifted right for a stride. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Supreme Lord, trained by Robson De Aguiar, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal.

Reese Holohan, rider of I Ready, trained by Paul W. Flynn, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount pulled a front shoe leaving the stalls.

Paul W. Flynn, trainer of I Ready, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his charge injured his hip leaving the stalls.

Following a request from broadcasters, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for a one minute delay to this race

B.M. Coen, rider of Divine Legend, trained by J.P. Murtagh, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount slipped on the home bend. The Raceday Stewards informed the Clerk of the course of the content of this report.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Joyous Heart, trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ducked right after the furlong pole.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the home straight involving Emberelle, ridden by C.T. Keane, and Jolie Cailin, ridden by D.W. O'Connor where it appeared contact was made. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D.W. O'Connor stated that he received a small bump from his inside. C.T. Keane stated that he had to check off heels at that point causing him to shift right for a stride. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

D.W. O'Connor, rider of Calamint, trained by Adrian Murray, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung left from two furlongs down.

J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Churchill Gale, trained by Dermot Anthony McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right throughout.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the closing stages involving Keilah, ridden by J.M. Sheridan, Tickle The Cat (GER), ridden by C.D. Hayes, Morning Approach, ridden by W.J. Lee, and Wingit, ridden by Reese Holohan where it appeared several runners ran short of room. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. W.J. Lee stated that there was congestion in front of him and he got no run. J.M. Sheridan stated that it got tight for room inside the final furlong. C.D. Hayes stated that his mount rolled slightly right as she weakened. Reese Holohan stated that his mount leaned a little left as she weakened inside the final furlong. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action other than to advise Reese Holohan to react faster in a similar situation.

J.M. Sheridan, rider of Keilah, trained by Mark Michael McNiff, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no run in the straight.

W.J. Lee, rider of Morning Approach, trained by W. McCreery, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got no run in the straight.

Adam Caffrey, rider of Emily's Boy, trained by Thomas Dowling, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount slipped turning into the home straight. The Raceday Stewards informed the Clerk of the course of the content of this report.

Soibhan Rutledge, rider of Carrickfinn (GB), trained by Shane Gallagher, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that her mount hung right throughout.

D.P. McDonogh, rider of Scorcher's Son (GB), trained by Joseph Patrick O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that he had to check at the two furlong pole. The Raceday Stewards reviewed the video footage and were satisfied that no further action was warranted.

G.M. Ryan, rider of Four Ball, trained by Ciaran Murphy, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount was hampered down the back straight.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident in the back straight involving Four Ball, ridden by G.M. Ryan, and Handani, ridden by C.D. Hayes where it appeared interference took place. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. G.M. Ryan stated that he was beginning to take back and his mount just took longer than he hoped. C.D. Hayes stated that he was moving across from his wide draw and was unaware of congestion inside him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were happy to take no further action other than to advise C.D. Hayes to ride with more awareness in future.

Following a request from broadcasters, the Raceday Stewards granted permission for a one minute delay to this race

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Sean Davis, trainer of Agostino concerning the withdrawal of his charge owing to transport difficulties shortly before the cut off time for presenting the animal for identification. Sean Davis stated that Agostino is a very bad traveller and had to travel separately from his other runner in this race which he had brought himself. He said he left home at around 11.30 with The Love Machine, and Agostino was to follow shortly afterwards. He stated that his employee had problems loading Agostino on his own and was late leaving the yard. He concluded by stating that his employee contacted him while en-route and informed him that he would not arrive at the racecourse before the deadline to present for identification and turned back. Having considered all the evidence, the Raceday Stewards fined Sean Davis €200 for the reason proffered for the withdrawal of Agostino and suspended the animal for two racedays in accordance with the provisions of Rule 194 (vii)(e). Furthermore, they imposed a fine of €200 for the late withdrawal of Agostino in accordance with the provisions of Rule 194(iv).

The Raceday Stewards fined Patrick Magee trainer, €65 for failing to fit the declared cheekpieces to Glen Breeze, prior to entering the parade ring.

The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined The Love Machine, trained by Sean Davis, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be post race normal. Samples were taken for analysis.

The Raceday Stewards interviewed Orla Tynan, rider of Irish Rumour, concerning her use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. Orla Tynan stated that she felt she made contact with her mount on the line. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards accepted her explanation and took no further action. Orla Tynan was accompanied by Mr. Barry Cash in this enquiry.

The Raceday Stewards enquired into the apparent improvement in form of The Love Machine, trained by Sean Davis, placed second, compared with its recent form. Evidence was heard from the trainer concerned, who stated that his charge had dropped from a rating of 59 to 42 after what he felt were reasonable runs. He also stated that he felt a return to a straight course may have contributed to the improvement in form today. Evidence was also heard from the IHRB Handicapper, who stated that the horse had run over a variety of trips and had not shown very much hence the drop in the ratings, He concluded by stating that today's run marked a significant improvement in form. When questioned on the significant market support for his charge who returned at a price of 9/4 fav from an early morning price of 20/1, and 10/1 three hours before the race, the trainer stated that he was surprised that his charge went off favourite and that he had no knowledge of where the market support had come from. Having considered the matter, the Raceday Stewards noted the explanations offered regarding the apparent improvement in form. Furthermore, they referred all of the betting patterns in this race to a Senior Racing Official for further investigation in accordance with the provisions of Rule 14(ii)(b).
